Team San Juan is TASP’s Special Olympics Alpine Ski and Snowboard race team in the winter season. Practices are held Saturdays throughout January and February. Each athlete is individually coached by TASP instructors in order to enhance general skiing abilities. In addition, two race courses of varying difficulties are available to hone racing skills. All athletes congregate before lunch to participate in a Team Ski where all coaches and athletes get to cheer each racer on through the Team San Juan race course.

Athletes who attend the minimum required practices are then eligible to attend the Special Olympics Regional Tournament at Sunlight or Ski Cooper. Dependent on their participation in Regionals, athletes can then compete in the Special Olympics Colorado State Games in Copper.
