We proudly partner with several local outdoor recreation organizations for more adaptive winter activities.

For most activities, a TASP adaptive instructor accompanies a professional partner guide. For details, check out partners’ websites or call our Programs office at 970-728-3865.

  • Fat Tire Biking

Join us for a half-day excursion in the greater Telluride area or on Telluride Ski Resort.

  • Ice Climbing

San Juan Outdoor School and Mountain Trip offer a one-of-a-kind, half-day experience for individuals to scale frozen waterfalls in the San Juan Mountains.

All needed technical gear, adaptive equipment, and transportation is included. Open to pre-approved individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities.

  • Backcountry Snowmobiling

Telluride Outside and Telluride Outfitters host individual or family snowmobile trips. TASP encourage you to book directly with the snowmobiling outfitters as they can accommodate many trips without TASP’s direct involvement.  If you feel you need a TASP liaison on the trip, please contact us to discuss.

  • Backcountry Heli-Skiing

Helitrax offers a unique off-trail skiing experience where participants take a helicopter to access more remote areas and slopes of intermediate to advanced terrain. Options are available for single-day or multi-day guided adventures.

  • Off-Piste Ski or Snowboard Touring

San Juan Outdoor School and Mountain Trip organize off-piste (backcountry) lessons and trips for adaptive skiers and snowboarders. Participants of intermediate to advanced ski or snowboard abilities can experience untracked powder.

  • Special Olympics

Join Team San Juan, TASP’s Special Olympics alpine ski and snowboard team. Soak up the slopes while practicing skills and fostering teamwork. Athletes who attend the minimum required practice are eligible to compete in the Regional Tournament and advance to the Colorado State Games.

    For details, call 970-728-5010.

  • Adventures for Locals

TASP offers day adventures for residents in and around Telluride, including hosting local students. Outdoor activities include adaptive skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing.

  • International Programming

TASP adaptive skiing and snowboarding has gone global! Recent trips have included Chile and Japan with more to come.
