As a sample of what winter looks like, please view LAST YEAR’s training information. Information for First Year On-Snow Volunteers may be found in our First Year Instructor Handbook (page 4 describes the training that we ask of our new volunteers). Information for Returning Volunteers (or new volunteers who want to further their education) may be found in our Training Manual . This season’s training information will be posted in calendar form on the Current Instructor page by early November. At that time, you will be able to register for training online for the 2018-19 winter season.
For more information, help signing up for a training, or to become a volunteer instructor, please call 970.728.2443 or email email@example.com.
If you are interested in volunteering this summer, please call 970.728.2443 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Generally, information pertaining to summer is available in April.
We will offer a number of sport specific trainings at the end of May and the first part of June on how to best assist our clients in activities such as flatwater canoeing/kayaking, rock climbing, and biking as well as first aid and CPR certification classes. Trainings are posted in calendar form at the bottom of the Current Instructor page. Other opportunities that will be available include hiking, horseback riding, fishing, jeeping, rafting, inclusion lessons, overnight campouts, and more! We encourage all of our instructors to be First Aid and CPR certified and require this certification of all summer Lead Instructors.
