Back by popular demand\, TASP is hosting its summer spin off of our extremely successful advanced ski/ride camp\, Expand Your Horizons! Join along for our Elite Mountain Bike Camp lead by professional guides at TASP who will help you elevate your skills on our unmatched terrain here in the Telluride region. A small group of elite riders will be chosen to tackle a diverse menu of trails from high alpine cross country rides to classic valley floor technical adventures and sweeping fast descents down the freshly designed flow trails on Telluride Ski Resort via chairlift access. My son is in the autism spectrum and many of the experiences lived throughout this adventure are based on my life as an autism mum\, what I see\, think and feel go through his mind as we experience this wonderful world together. The relationship full of love and patience my beautiful daughter has with her brother and how magical their imagination is. DESCRIPTION:Join the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program for one of its legendary off-road handcycle camps in the most renowned mountain biking venue on earth: Moab\, Utah.  Our camps center around accessing world-class\, desert-style off-road handcycling and is run in partnership with ReActive Adaptations.  Experience the thrill of riding along the legendary trails of slickrock and dirt while benefiting from the coaching of top notch able bodied and disabled riders. Limited hand cycle rentals available. \nMoab Reunion – May 16 – 20\, 2019 (Cost $TBD) \n\nIntermediate to advanced riders only. This camp is intended as a spring conditioning trip to get back in the swing of all things biking after a long winter.\nCamping\, trail transportation and breakfast included. DESCRIPTION:Blisters & Brews is a 5k Fundraiser Race on the morning of Saturday\, September 14th\, giving Festival patrons the opportunity to exercise before they imbibe. The 5k Race\, sponsored by BootDoctors™ Paragon Outdoors\, will raise money for the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program in remembrance of dear festival friend Felix Snow. \nThrough registration fees\, donations and the generous support of the Telluride community\, the event was able to raise nearly $2\,000 for the Telluride Adaptive Ski Program each of the last two years. DESCRIPTION:Telluride Adaptive Sports Program is excited to announce a Demo day for Adaptive Rock Climbing and Adaptive Biking on Sat\, April 27th\, 2019!! TASP will supply technical rock climbing and biking equipment that can be adapted to a variety of ability levels. During the same time\, there will also be a Resource Fair in the Montrose Rec Center for individuals living with disabilities. DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, August 10th\, 2017 the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program will host their first ever amputee basketball game fundraiser\, Nothing But Net. This game will take place in the Telluride High School gym from 6pm-8pm\, with proceeds benefiting the Telluride Adaptive’s scholarship fund for low-income participants. \nAMP1\, the first organized team of amputees playing stand-up basketball\, is coming to Telluride to challenge local community members in a thrilling game. The team members of AMP1 redefine what’s possible for amputees worldwide and travel all across the US spreading awareness and speaking to communities about the importance of sport in their lives. \nJoin us for an exciting half-time show with an adaptive spin\, unique and rare auction items\, like a signed Clippers basketball and jersey\, and an incredible display of athleticism. Entry fee is $10 for adults and $5 for children; TASP and AMP1 merchandise will be for sale during the game. \nTASP is dedicated to enriching the lives of people with disabilities by providing therapeutic recreation and offering educational opportunities to enhance the public’s understanding and awareness of the power of adaptive sports.
