Be prepared to laugh\, cry\, and be inspired\, as Adam’s in your face style of storytelling grabs you by the throat in the opening scene and refuses to let go until the very end. His debut project\, Smell the Light\, was honored with the Best Experimental Short award at the prestigious Woods Hole Film Festival. His autobiographical story\, Dinner with Wonder Woman\, which he performed live at Lincoln Center and has since amassed over one million downloads online\, secured a development deal with Warner Brothers. Adam has also written and performed the pieces\, Blind Ninja\, and Showing up on National Public radio. SUMMARY:Advice For Girls Movie Screening - Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Come show your support for TASP and watch an amazing adaptive film Advice for Girls at The Palm Theatre! \nTues\, Jan 30th\nDoors open at 4:45 pm\nShow starts at 5:30 \n$10 tickets in advance\, $15 at the door \nAbout the Film Advice for Girls: \nAdvice for Girls puts a spotlight on the collective experience of women in the ski industry. With more than 25 women highlighted in the film\, Advice for Girls features skiers from a breadth of backgrounds\, including familiar names like Devin Logan\, Lynsey Dyer\, Caroline Claire\, and Amie Engerbretson. \nThe film highlights skiers across generations – from women who hold first descents to young skiers ready to make their mark on the slopes. With an intersectional cast featuring all types of women – women of color\, queer women\, women with disabilities\, and more – the crew hopes that everyone can find someone in the film to connect to. Advice for Girls is proud to be the first feature-length ski film to feature transgender women. \nArcara added that “The deeper importance of inclusion in films like Advice for Girls is that it shows a broader spectrum of people that they are welcome as who they are. Despite what it may seem like so often\, there is room for those who don’t fit the mold of what most people typically envision a skier to be in gender\, race\, ability\, or background.” \nInspired by producer Addy Jacobsend’s experience as a young woman in the ski industry\, the film’s central message reminds women and girls that they are worthy of success\, allowed to take up space\, and valuable to their world. Alongside their ripping skiing\, athletes will share the lessons they have learned through their experiences and pass advice on to the next generation of skiers. Intended for more than just the female audience\, the film’s crew encourages women and girls to bring their partners\, brothers\, friends\, cousins\, dads and uncles. This is ultimately a film for all. \nGenerously sponsored by:  Ellison MacIntire Partners and The Garrett Companies\n \nBuy your Ticket NOW

SUMMARY:Full Circle Movie Screening - Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Come show your support for TASP and watch an amazing adaptive film Full Circle at The Palm Theatre! \nThurs\, Dec 28th\nDoors open at 4:45 pm\nShow starts at 5:30 \n$10 tickets in advance\, $15 at the door \nAbout the Film Full Circle: Faced with a traumatic injury that renders you permanently disabled; how would you reinvent yourself? In 2014\, Trevor Kennison’s life was forever altered by a broken back – for worse and for better\, in equal measures. Barry Corbet\, an intrepid skier\, mountaineer\, explorer\, filmmaker\, and Jackson Hole legend\, broke his back in a helicopter crash in 1968. Frustrated by a pre-ADA culture that did not accept or support the disabled\, Barry reinvented himself\, becoming a seminal leader in the disability community. FULL CIRCLE follows Trevor on a path towards post-traumatic growth in parallel with Barry\, 50 years later. Their stories mirror each other\, connected through time and space by common locations and motifs; injuries in the Colorado backcountry\, rehab at Craig Hospital\, fame in Jackson Hole; but also\, through their shared resiliency and refusal to let their passion for life be limited by their injuries. FULL CIRCLE is an unblinking examination of the challenges of Spinal Cord Injury\, and a celebration of the growth that such tragedy can catalyze.  104 minutes \nThe film is not appropriate for children and has some adult content.  Please see Full Circle Press Release for more information. \nGenerously sponsored by:  Ellison MacIntire Partners and The Garrett Companies \n \nTickets available at the door for $15 each

SUMMARY:Japan 2020!
DESCRIPTION:Japan has long been a fabled wonderland with such legend surrounding its treasures that even the mere whisper of its name brings a dreamy gaze to the face of every avid skier and rider. Tales of “Japow”\, the English term ascribed to the powder producing Japanese mountains\, seem to sneak their way into every chairlift ride and après conversation. The island nation\, with more ski areas than any other country in the world\, has garnered something of celebrity status within ski culture\, always being at the top of any skier/rider’s international bucket list. Did we mention it’s incredible snow and remarkable culture? \nTelluride Adaptive Sports\, always striving to offer the highest level of inclusive opportunity to its participants no matter how extreme or far reaching\, has focused its energies on tailoring a brand new offering to adaptive athletes centered around most every skier’s/rider’s biggest dream: skiing Japan. No stranger to international and faraway ski destinations (TASP has hosted ski camps in areas like Chile and Alaska)\, Telluride Adaptive is excited to individually invite you on this first-in-a-lifetime opportunity for adaptive snowsport enthusiasts from all across North America. \n  \nIf exploring Japan with like-minded adaptive skiers and riders sounds like your cup of (authentically brewed Japanese) tea\, please inquire for more information by emailing Tim McGough at  programs@tellurideadaptivesports.org or calling 970-728-3865 \nFor more information\, please click here.
